Holiday week-end

There has been a lot of talk about going down the river this week-end but nothing concrete so far. If you have any plans please post it on the blog.

July 1st Paddle

Looks like our first paddle of July and on this blog will be tomorrow the 1st.

River - Straight

Starting time - 10:30am

Put-in - Krogh's Landing

Take-out - TeePee Tonka or Mogren's

Time to complete - 3 hours

Paddlers that are thinking of doing this trip -Troy and two of his friends from Elysian - Gary

Skill level - Intermediate - River level is up which creates some nice standing waves and rollers. Only one tree to negotiate around the last time this stretch was done - at the "S" curve at Riverbend Nature Center.

Our new paddling blog

Welcome everyone to our new site that should help all of us get on the rivers that are so dear and near to us. The Straight and Cannon Rivers will be our main focus but we want to hear about any and all rivers that you are going to paddle or have paddled . I'm hoping that this site will help us will help us coordinate times, boats and river conditions to get us on the rivers. It also will be a great place to enter our pictures and stories of what we have done.
